HC Deb 02 June 1924 vol 174 c906W
Dr. CHAPPLE

asked the Prime Minister whether he can give an assurance that no treaty modifications affecting third parties thereto will be entered into by the British representative on the Anglo-Soviet Conference without the approval of Parliament?

The PRIME MINISTER

His Majesty's Government would not consider it proper to enter into negotiations for modifying the treaty position of third parties not represented in such negotiations, and they have no such intention.
