HC Deb 31 July 1924 vol 176 c2281W
Mr. LIVINGSTONE

asked the right hen. Member for Tiverton, as representing the Forestry Commissioners, whether any inquiries have been made regarding the possibilities of afforestation of any kind on any of the Western Isles of Scotland; and, if so, whether any work of this nature is likely to be undertaken in the near future?

Mr. ACLAND

Inquiries have been made regarding the possibilities of afforestation on some of the Western Isles of Scotland. The Forestry Commissioners are taking steps with a view to the immediate acquisition of plant-able land in the Island of Mull.
