HC Deb 29 July 1924 vol 176 c1909W
Mr. BLACK

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any arrangements have been come to with Abyssinia with respect to slave-raiding and slave-trading in that country; if so, what these arrangements are; and whether he is now prepared to lay upon the Table of the House copies of the Reports with regard to these matters which the Government has received?

Mr. PONSONBY

No arrangements other than the Treaty of 1884 with respect to slave-raiding and slave-trading have been concluded between His Majesty's Government and Abyssinia. As regards the last part of the question, I have nothing to add to my reply to the hon. Member on the 21st of May.
