§ Mr. ERSKINEasked the Minister of Transport the number of accidents and collisions between motor vehicles that have occurred during the current year at the crossing of the roads in the centre of Eaton Square from Eccleston Street to Belgrave Place, at the cross-roads in Chester Square, and in Eccleston Square at the junction of Belgrave Road and Gillingham Street, respectively; and whether he proposes taking any steps to warn the drivers at these danger spots by affixing notices or having extra constables on duty at these places?
Mr. DAVIESI have been asked to reply. The numbers of accidents known to the police during the current year at these places are 24, six and four respectively. In only two cases did serious personal injury result. In each case the road junctions are so obvious that a danger sign should not be necessary, but in any case the comparatively small volume of traffic would hardly justify the special employment of extra police.
