asked the Minister of Labour the number of lady clerks and typists registered as unemployed at the Employment Exchanges in Carlisle, Annan, Dumfries and Kilmarnock during the week ending 24th May, 1924; and how many applications were made by employers in those towns for such workers during the same week?

The number of lady clerks and typists on the registers of these Employment Exchanges during the week ended 24th May, 1924, was 36. No applications were made by employers in these towns for such workers during the same week.
