HC Deb 28 July 1924 vol 176 cc1774-5W
Mr. McENTEE

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether his Department has agreed to regrade the workmen at Brompton Cemetery according to the grading under the schedule of the London District Council of the Joint Industrial Council for Local Authorities' Non-Trading Services (Manual Workers), dated 8th June, 1920; whether he is aware that a mistake was made in settling the grading of these men, with the result that from 1920 they have received a reduced rate of wages; and whether, as the grading was an integral part of the award of 1920, the workmen concerned are to be paid the arrears of wages due to them?

Mr. JOWETT

The reply to all three questions is in the affirmative.
