HC Deb 24 July 1924 vol 176 c1533W
Major HORE-BELISHA

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty if his attention has been drawn to paragraph 3, Article 1,952, and (a) Article 1,953, King's Regulations and Admiralty Instructions, 1913 edition; and will he now give the title and date of the Admiralty Order which authorised naval and marine pensioners to count their war service for additional pension, in spite of the fact that they drew their pensions whip serving?

Mr. AMMON

I am aware of the Regulations referred to. Paragraph (3) of Article 1,952 of the King's Regulations relates to pensioners permitted to serve in the Navy under peace conditions. Article 1,953 (a) authorised pensioners to count war service for additional pension (within the limits of seamen's scale) and no further Admiralty Order was issued to give effect to this Regulation.
