HC Deb 23 July 1924 vol 176 c1335W
Mr. HASTINGS

asked the Minister of Labour, in view of the small notice in the British Press received by the recent International Labour Conference, whether the publicity department of the Ministry of Labour or the International Labour Office is responsible for supplying the necessary information?

Mr. SHAW

The International Labour Office has its own arrangements for supplying the Press of Great Britain as well as of other countries with general information about the work of the International Labour Conferences. The Ministry of Labour has no publicity department, but full information on the subject of these Conferences is given in the "Ministry of Labour Gazette" and in the House on appropriate occasions. I am sending the hon. Member a copy of the issue of the "Ministry of Labour Gazette" containing an account of the recent Conference held at Geneva.
