asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer when he will be able to announce his decision in reference to the refunding of Income Tax to the Yorkshire Philosophical Society?

I regret that I am not at present able to state when the matter to which the hon. Member refers will be settled. The difficulties of legal interpretation in this and some other analogous cases are very great, but the question is being carefully examined and there will be no avoidable delay in reaching a decision.
