asked the Minister of Health the number of applications for the housing subsidy under the proposals of 1923 put forward from the whole county of Oxford how many have been granted; and what is the total of such applications granted on the average in each rural district?

Proposals from 11 local authorities in the county of Oxford for the erection of 625 houses have been made under the Housing, etc., Act., 1923, and authority has so far been given to the erection of 594 houses. Of the approvals given, 173 houses were in applications made by seven rural district councils.
