HC Deb 16 July 1924 vol 176 c401W
Mr. RUSSELL

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether his attention has been called to the case of William Riley, North Shields, an applicant for an old age pension; whether he is aware that a pension was allowed by the local pensions committee but refused by the Customs and Excise Department, on the ground that there is no evidence of the claimant's age; and whether, having regard to the special circumstances of the case and the difficulty of securing such evidence, he will reconsider this claim?

Mr. GRAHAM

I am making inquiry into this case, and will communicate with the hon. Member.
