HC Deb 14 July 1924 vol 176 c53W
Mr. ERSKINE

asked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that the failure to announce the date, or the approximate date, of the adjournment is causing considerable inconvenience to Members who have their summer plans to arrange; and whether he is now in a position to make an announcement on the subject?

The PRIME MINISTER

The Government realise that it would be for the convenience of Members to know as soon as possible when the House will rise, and an announcement will be made as early as possible. But in this matter much will depend on the number and importance of the Amendments that may be made in another place to Bills which it is desired to pass into law before the Recess.
