HC Deb 14 July 1924 vol 176 c55W
Mr. CLUSE

asked the Home Secretary whether the Nulli Secundus type of omnibus recently placed upon the streets of London has a 10-inch clearance under the back axle; and, if not, why the departure from the recognised Regulations involved in the licensing of this type of omnibus has been taken?

Mr. DAVIES

The type referred to has not a 10-inch clearance under the back axle, and such a clearance has never been required. It has a clearance of 10 inches for a distance of 14 feet 6 inches from the front dumb irons, and this is as much as was given in the case of the older type of omnibuses.
