§ Mr. GROVESasked the President of the Board of Education whether he is aware of the dissatisfaction among teachers in the work of training the blind owing to the latitude granted for a class to be over 15 in number; and, in the view of those persons engaged in the work that such numbers lead to inefficiency, whether he will be prepared to meet a small but representative deputation of these teachers on the matter?
§ Mr. TREVELYANI have been making careful inquiry into the present efficiency of schools for blind children. In view of the reports which I have received, I do not think it necessary to receive a deputation on the subject; but I shall be willing to investigate any further instances which are submitted to me in which it is alleged that the size of a class is militating against its efficiency.
