HARRISasked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether any undertaking has been given to the Council of State to consider favourably the appointment of an Indian as the leader of the Indian delegation to the League of Nations Assembly; and whether he is yet in a position to state the decision of the Government in the matter?
§ Mr. RICHARDSI am not aware of any such undertaking as that referred to having been given, and no decision by the Government on the question has been invited.
