Mr. T. JOHNSTON

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that a steamer called the "Caid" cleared from the Clyde on 11th February with a cargo of whisky; if this ship has reached the destination specified in her clearance papers; and if he will give the name of the owner of the vessel, her port of registry, the consignor of her cargo, and if the allowance of 3d. per gallon on exported whisky was given in this case?

Mr. GRAHAM

I have been asked to reply. I am making inquiries, and will communicate the result to my hon. Friend in due course.
