HC Deb 27 February 1924 vol 170 cc494-5W
Mr. CLAYTON

asked the Minister of Health whether the Return of occupations of those included in the Census for the year 1921 is yet available; and, if not, when it will be published, as the information, if to be of any value, should not be delayed?

Mr. WHEATLEY

The statistics in question have already been published, county by county, for a number of counties covering practically the whole of the industrial portion of England and Wales, and comprising nearly 37,500,000 out of a total population of less than 38,000,000. The few remaining county volumes will appear in the course of the next three or four weeks, and a summary volume giving the aggregate figures of these and other statistics for England and Wales as a whole is in preparation and will be published in a few months.
