§ Mr. HARTSHORNThere is a heavy programme of urgent cable repairs awaiting the Post Office cable ships in the English Channel, the North Sea and the Irish Sea, and I am afraid that it may be some three months before it will be possible to give attention to the Sanday-Westray cable. I am sorry for the inconvenience which is being occasioned to the inhabitants of the islands.
