§ Captain TERRELLasked the Minister of Health how he proposes, in respect to the construction of the new £500 houses and their letting at an average of 9s. a week, rent and rating included, to ensure that these dwellings are only occupied by people of such restricted means as to justify any claim on their part for a State subsidy in connection with their accommodation; whether any condition governing means will be imposed; and whether the beneficiaries will, on the improvement of their economic condition, be expected to give up the occupancy of such dwellings?
§ Mr. WHEATLEYI would suggest that the hon. and gallant Member should reserve his points until I am in a position to make a detailed statement on the Government's proposals, which are at present still under consideration.
