§ Dr. SPEROasked the Minister of Health if he is aware that a practical scheme for the building of additional public baths has been passed by the Stoke Newington Borough Council, whereby an urgent need would be supplied and work found for some of the large number of unemployed in that borough; and when he intends to put this scheme into operation?
§ Mr. WHEATLEYI cannot see my way to passing this work at the present time because it would cause a demand for skilled building labour, of which there is already a shortage in the district and which is needed for housing and other urgent work.
