§ Mr. AMMONEnquiries have been made in a considerable number of cases and the results obtained, and the action taken thereon, naturally vary from ship to ship according to circumstances. in every case all steps which are reasonably possible have been taken to remedy any defects in such matters as ventilation and lighting.
