Captain BENNasked the Minister of Health whether he would agree to a monthly return being made showing the number of orders for possession applied for under the Rent Restriction Act of 1923 and the number of orders made?
§ Mr. WHEATLEYI am afraid that it would not be practicable to comply with the hon. and gallant Member's suggestion. I have been in communication with the Lord Chancellor and I understand that no records are, or could be, kept in the Courts which would make it possible to distinguish the number of orders for possession under the Rent Restriction Act.
