Captain BENNasked the Minister of Labour what are the intentions of the Government in reference to the draft convention passed at the International Labour Conference at Geneva in June, 1920, providing for the payment of two months' wages to seamen whose vessels have been lost?
§ Mr. SHAWI have consulted my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade, who hopes to introduce as soon as possible a Bill designed to give effect to the provisions of this draft convention. Should this Bill pass into law without amendments contrary to the provisions of the draft Convention, it is proposed to ratify the Convention.
