§ Mr. SHAWThere are no offices of the Department at these places, but at the nearest local office at Musselburgh there were 346 men on the registers at 28th July 3117W including 200 on short time. Informal notification of suspension from work had also been given in respect of 4,000 persons, but at 28th July these persons had not made formal claims to benefit.
