HC Deb 04 August 1924 vol 176 c2551W
Mr. GILLETT

asked the Home Secretary why commutation of the Royal Irish Constabulary pension of George Fowler, Carleton House, Church Path, Middle Deal, Kent, has been refused; and whether, in view of the fact that this man has a good opportunity of securing a profitable business by purchasing the freehold premises of a shop at Folkestone, he will reconsider the application?

Mr. HENDERSON

I understand that the tribunal appointed to investigate these cases carefully considered this application, and came to the conclusion that it would not be in the interests of Mr. Fowler himself to accede to his request.
