HC Deb 04 August 1924 vol 176 c2554W
Sir K. WOOD

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether his attention has been called to a resolution recently passed at an area meeting of the Association of Ex-Service Civil Servants resident in Bromley, Dartford, Greenwich, Lewisham and Woolwich protesting against the recommendations of the Final Report of the Southborough Committee on the grounds that it is not an adequate solution of the problem of the re-settlement of ex-service men in the Civil Service, and that it is not in accordance with pledges made by the members of the Government; and whether he is taking any action in the matter?

Mr. GRAHAM

I have received resolutions similar to the one referred to by-the hon. Member. With reference to the remainder of the question I would refer the hon Member to the reply which I gave on the 23rd July to the hon. and gallant Member for Basingstoke (Lieut.-Commander Fletcher).
