§ Viscount WOLMERThe number of persons whose claims are covered by the First Report of the Royal Commission on Compensation for Suffering and Damage by Enemy Action is 29,017, 21,150 payable orders have been issued to such persons down to the end of April. In addition to the balance of persons whose claims are covered by the First Report, claims by 12,000 persons in respect of damage to property remain to be dealt with, and these latter will form the subject of a further report of the Commission. These figures do not include belated claims which are at present under examination.
