§ Mr. W. THORNEasked the Minister of Health if he is aware of the way in which the Wanstead District Council are disregarding their public health duties: if he is aware of the manner in which they allow the dust-bin refuse to lie about 743W on the vacant land at the Leicester end of Rutland Road; that several of the ratepayers have complained to the council about the matter; whether he has received letters from F. S. Trueman, living at. Rutland Road, Wanstead, complaining about the negligence of the council in carrying out their public health duties; and if he will take action in the matter?
§ Captain HACKINGMy right hon. Friend has received some complaints on this subject including some letters from Mr. Trueman and he has already been in communication with the council in regard to these complaints. He has no reason to think that the council have shown any general disregard of their duties under the Public Health Acts. My right hon. Friend is sending the hon. Member a copy of a letter from the council on the subject.
