The annual returns of co-operative societies (which are made to the Registry of Friendly Societies) are not due, in respect of the past year, till the 31st of this month. For the year 1921 the sales by distributive co-operative societies amounted to £219,000,000. No information is available as to the proportion of such sales made to nonmembers.
