asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the amount contributed by the Stamp Duty on foreign bonds in the financial years 1912–13 and 1913–14 when the rate was one per cent; the amount contributed in 1919–20, when the rate was also one per cent; and the amount contributed in each succeeding financial year to date after the increase of the rate to two per cent. by the Finance Act of 1920?

The rate of Stamp Duty on Marketable Securities to Bearer (other than 'those of Colonial Governments or municipalities) was raised from 20s. to 40s. per cent. as from the 1st September, 1920. The approximate receipt of duty from these securities is as follows:
