§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSAs a result of the financial conditions arising out of78W the War, there has been some delay in carrying out the complete scheme for the reconstruction of the Lydney Post Office. A first instalment, which comprised the enlargement of the public office was, however, completed last year; and a further instalment involving an extension of the sorting office and the provision of new sanitary accommodation will, subject to Treasury sanction, be carried out this year. Meanwhile tenders have been invited for the relaying of the drains as an urgent measure. As regards the second part of his question, perhaps the hon. Member would address the Office of Works.
