asked the Under-Secretary to the Scottish Board of Health the number of housing schemes adopted by local authorities in the Eastern Division of Fife; the number of houses proposed to be erected under each of these schemes; the number of houses completed and in course of completion under each scheme; and the number still to be erected?

The number of schemes submitted to the Scottish Board of Health in terms of Section 1 of the Housing, Town Planning, etc. (Scotland), Act, 1919, by local authorities in the East Fife Parliamentary Division was 14; the number of houses proposed to be erected under these schemes was 548; the number of houses completed at the present date is 282; and the number in course of completion 14, making the total of 296. These 296 houses 'represent the total number allocated to the local authorities in the division for erection with the State assistance provided for in Section 5 of the Act.
