GRAHAMasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, as a result of the discussion between the Departments primarily concerned, he can now say when the necessary steps will be taken to give effect to the proposals of the Crown and Government Lands Committee which made definite recommendations, for economy in Government staffs?
§ Mr. BALDWIN:It has been decided in principle to set up a central organisation to deal with valuation and negotiation for sale, purchase, etc., of lands and buildings, and to appoint an Inter-Departmental Committee to work out necessary details.
