HC Deb 21 March 1923 vol 161 cc2600-1W
Mr. LINFIELD

asked the Home Secretary whether, in view of the very full and detailed reports of recent divorce proceedings, involving great risk to the rising generation and much mental suffering to relatives and friends of persons concerned, he will consider the advisability of adopting the practice which obtains in France, whereby only the names of the parties and the result of the trial may, by law. be circulated in the Press?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given yesterday to a question on this subject by the hon. Member for South-west Bethnal Green (Mr. Harris).
