BRITTAINasked the Postmaster-General if it be intended to close the postal and telegraph office at Fleet Street, E.C.4, at 2 p.m. on Good Friday, 30th March, and Easter Monday, 2nd April; whether he is aware that this office is used by a large number of newspaper offices and representatives of newspapers for the transmission of information to the daily press in the provinces by telegraph and otherwise, and that great inconvenience and loss of time will be caused if it is not available at night on the dates in question; and whether he will give instructions that the office shall be kept open between the hours of 8 p.m. and 1 a.m. as is done on Sundays?
§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS:I will arrange that the Fleet Street Branch Office will be open on Good Friday and on Easter Monday, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. the following morning.
