DAVIESasked the Minister of Pensions whether, in view of the representations which have been made from many influential boards of guardians and other local bodies against the cost of treatment and maintenance of ex-service men in asylums, previously classified by the Ministry of Pensions as service patients, being transferred to the pauper lunatic account, he will say what action it is proposed to take?
§ Major TRYON:I am aware that boards of guardians have made representations regarding these cases, and I would refer the hon. Member to the answer which I gave to the hon. Member for Bow and Bromley (Mr. Lansbury), and the hon. Member for West Bromwich (Mr. F. Roberts), on the 15th February, of which I am sending him a copy.
