§ Mr. HOPKINSasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that ex-service men who have passed examinations and been put on the permanent staff of the Inland Revenue Department only receive a starting salary of £80, plus bonus, notwithstanding that many of them are not young, have considerable experience, and do responsible work, and, in addition, many of them, have families to support; and will he look into this matter?
