§ Mr. BALDWIN:The net revenue derived from the Excise duty on beer for the year ended 31st March, 1922, was £121,844,583. The number of standard barrels brewed in the same period was 23,513,774.
§ Mr. H. GRAYasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, before taking anything off the Income Tax, he will consider the possibility of reducing the Excise Duty on beer?
§ Mr. BALDWIN:I can assure my hon. Friend that all relevant considerations will be borne in mind in framing the Budget statement.
