§ Mr. DUNNICOasked the Secretary for Mines whether he is now prepared to sanction a special inquiry into the causes of the accident at the Medomsley Colliery, Durham, whereby eight lives were lost, especially in view of the fact that the Durham Miners' Association is dissatisfied with the findings of the coroner's court?
§ Lieut.-Colonel LANE-FOX:In view of the very full inquiry made by the coroner, I do not think any useful object would be served by holding a public inquiry, but the matter shall be very fully investigated by my technical officers.
