§ Sir S. HOAREThis and other suggestions for effecting economies in aircraft carriers have been for some time, and still are, engaging the serious attention of the Admiralty and the Air Ministry. It must, however, be pointed out that there are practical difficulties in the way of combining the aircraft workshops with the existing engineering shops on board, and this is also true of the other workshops referred to. I may add that I am most anxious to avoid the possibility of any unnecessary duplication.
