SANDERSThe variety of the systems of taxation, central and local, which in the different countries mentioned may affect agricultural land, either by way of its capital value, rental value or profits emerging from its use, and the manifold complexities and reactions of such taxation, make it impossible to prepare the figures which the hon. Member desires. In the United Kingdom particularly the nature of the incidence of taxation on agricultural land as such would not permit of a comparison with similar taxation in the countries mentioned.
