§ Mr. DUNCANasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that the guardians of the Eccleshall Bierlow Poor Law Union are requiring men in receipt of relief to obtain upon specially prepared forms the signatures of firms to whom application for employment is made; whether this action has been taken with his knowledge and concurrence; and whether he will make representations to the guardians on the matter?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI was previously aware of the action reported to have been taken by the guardians, and, as at present advised, I do not see any ground for my intervention.
