§ Mr. GAVAN DUFFYasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury if he is aware of the fact that Messrs. Jennings Brothers, brewers, Cockermouth, are avoiding the payment of 4s. tax per 36-gallon cask of beer sent out to the tenants of their tied houses by sending 490W to them barrels containing only from 33 to 34 gallons of beer, whilst charging the tenants for 36 gallons; and will he undertake definite action to safeguard these tenants if documentary evidence is supplied to him?
