§ Lieut.-Colonel BUCKLEYI am unable to state the numbers of bales of cotton imported from or exported to the United States of America since, in order to secure uniformity in the records, quantities of raw cotton are required to be stated on importation or exportation in centals of 100 pounds. The registered imports and exports are as follow:

The total imports from all countries of these articles in 1922 amounted to 583,809 centals and the re-exports to 35,638 centals.
