§ Sir W. JOYNSON - HICKSThe increases in the cost of other Consolidated Fund services for 1922–23 and 1923–24, as compared with 1920–21 and 1921–22, are due practically entirely to the amount of interest payable by the Exchequer to the National Debt Commissioners on advances to the Unemployment Insurance Fund under the Unemployment Acts, 1921 and 1922. These payments are counterbalanced by receipts from the fund included under Miscellaneous Revenue.
