§ Mr. EDEasked the Minister of Health how many local housing authorities in the administrative county of Surrey have submitted schemes to him under the Housing Bill now before Parliament; the names of such authorities; the number of houses contemplated by each authority; giving separately the houses to be erected by public enterprise, and the cases in which he has sanctioned these proposals?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINSchemes have been submitted under the new Housing Bill by Guildford Town Council and Caterham Urban District Council for the erection of 110 houses and 20 houses respectively by the local authorities, and by Maldens and Coombe Urban District Council for the erection of 302 houses by private enterprise. The scheme proposed by Caterham has been approved. The others are under consideration, and a decision will be given shortly.
