§ Mr. HINDSasked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that the appointment of Sir Arthur Griffith-Boscawen as Chairman of the Welsh Church Commission has caused considerable dissatisfaction, as being a breach of the understanding which prevailed on the setting up of the 952W Commission that the chairman should be free from association with either party to the controversy; and whether, in view of this fact and of the desirability that Nonconformity should be represented on the Commission, he will reconsider the appointment?
§ Mr. BRIDGEMANI believe that the appointment of Sir Arthur Griffith-Boscawen has widespread approval. I do not know of any understanding of the kind indicated in the question. I cannot undertake to reconsider the appointment.
