§ Colonel ASHLEYIn accordance with the usual practice of the Department, an inquiry will be held, and Colonel Pringle, the Chief Inspecting Officer of Railways, has been appointed. The inquiry has opened this morning, and I am unable to make any statement as to the causes of the collision until I have received Colonel Pringle's Report.
