§ Mr. NEVILLE CHAMBERLAINThis matter formed the subject of appeals to my Department under Section 24 (2) of the Housing, Town Planning, etc. Act, 1919. My Department was satisfied that the plans and specifications would involve departures from the bye-laws only to the like extent as in the case of plans and specifications approved by my Department in the case of a road or roads constructed in pursuance of the housing scheme of the local authority. The appeal I was accordingly allowed.
