HC Deb 02 July 1923 vol 166 c64W
Captain BENN

asked the Home Secretary in what manner young persons between the ages of 16 and 21 who were committed for trial at the assizes in 1921 were dealt with during the interval between their charging and trial?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

Some would, no doubt, be admitted to bail during the whole or part of the time that the charge against them was pending, and the rest would be necessarily committed to prison, but I have no figures which I could give.
